EMPOWERED MOTHERHOOD: Helping women embrace motherhood
without giving up who they really are

Life Coaching Helps Mothers Reach Their Goals

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – From much-publicized celebrity pregnancies to ever-popular parenting shows like “Supernanny”, pregnancy and motherhood are in the limelight like never before.  Besieged by information and expectations, women are often overwhelmed while striving to be great mothers without losing themselves.  Through a series of tools like a new groundbreaking book, an inspiring radio show and actionable eZines, Empowered Motherhood (www.empoweredmotherhood.com) works with women of all ages and stages of motherhood to help them be the moms they want to be.

Amy Kovarick, life coach, author and radio show host, founded Empowered Motherhood LLC in 2003 on the belief that women deserve as much attention as their babies.  She lamented the lack of focus generally paid to a woman’s individual needs during pregnancy and motherhood.  In response she created Empowered Motherhood to provide a range of information, products and services both online and in person to women across the country.

Every mother brings her own unique style and approach to motherhood.  At Empowered Motherhood, we are not here to help with your baby or kids, your body or your parenting – we are here to help you,” says Amy.  “We love to ask ‘what do you need to bring your full potential to your life as a woman and mother?’ This is the kind of question that compels a woman to use both her heart and her head.”

Empowered Motherhood works with women of all ages and stages of motherhood beginning with the moms-to-be.  The products and services for expectant mothers incorporate a unique 10-step coaching process that enables a woman to design and create her new life as a woman and mother.  To encourage women to think beyond the baby shower, birth and baby gear, the first step asks powerful questions like:

Once the baby is born, Empowered Motherhood provides support, inspiration and challenge as mothers struggle to balance their many roles and to bring all of who they are to their lives.  The company has a range of coaching services for mothers from private sessions to self coaching audio and video programs.  The following tips capture the heart of Empowered Motherhood’s philosophy:

  1. Let go of half the stuff you are trying to do.
  2. Don’t waste time with limiting beliefs.
  3. Always ask how you can get what you need, not why you can’t.
  4. If you want something to happen, schedule it.
  5. Remember that taking care of yourself has EVERYTHING to do with being a good mother.
  6. Make your own rules.
