| Lovely Ladies, I can't tell you how much I value my intuition. It's brilliant! When I listen to it, I'm brilliant! It's like opening up a whole channel of guidance for my parenting, my relationships, my career, etc. Whenever I over think something, ask too many people what THEY think or generally look everywhere but within, I'm never as good. Recently, I started my almost four year old in karate lessons. For months now I've had an instinct that karate would be perfect for my very strong, physical little guy as a way to channel his energy and learn how to better control his body. One day we were walking by the karate studio and the teacher was putting up a sign in his window. I stopped, we talked for five minutes and later that week Matt had his first lesson. He LOVES it. | Mother's Intuition Mother’s intuition—that inexplicable sixth sense mothers have for instinctively knowing—is legendary. We all have intuition, but there is something about becoming a mother that deepens the connection to your inner wisdom. Your intuition can be invaluable as you envision your new life as a mother. It can help you discover what you really want, clarify your hopes and dreams, and reveal your expectations. Your intuition can also help you resolve some of the big questions of motherhood. Do I want to know my baby's gender ahead of time or be surprised? Do I have the right doctor/midwife for me? Do I breastfeed or formula feed? Am I working or staying at home? How am I going to share the parenting tasks? What is most important for my family's health, safety and fulfillment? Your intuition is important now, but vital after the baby arrives. As you move into the 'nothing else like it' pace of being a mom, the ability to listen to and trust yourself is a gift. I want you to be able to rely on that gut sense of what is right for you, for your child, for you family. I want you to have the courage to follow your instincts. So, how is your intuition? How are you exercising your intuition muscles? How much quiet time are you taking as you prepare for your baby? Are you journaling? Meditating? Praying? Walking in nature? Doing yoga? What is it that strengthens your connection to you ? Now and in the future, ensure that you doing whatever helps you listen to yourself most deeply! COACH YOURSELF: Take 5 minutes right now to listen to your intuition. Think of something that you have been questioning as you prepare for motherhood. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, letting each one out fully. Put your hands over your child or over your heart. Ask yourself your question. Then listen. No judgment, no editing, no second-guessing. Just listen to the truth your innermost self has to offer.
