THIS WEEK'S TOPIC: The Heart of Your Holiday
|
 | |
Mommas!
I'm in the midst of wrapping my head around the upcoming holidays - searching for our twinkly lights for the yard, making a gift list,
scheduling a babysitter for my husband's company party, etc. With three
step-daughters, a toddler, and my parents coming for three weeks, my
holidays have potential for great joy or great stress.
Whether
you are a mom-to-be or already a mother, the holidays have a tendency
to bring out the best and worst of each one of us. I believe it is so
valuable to take a moment to think about what is truly important for the holidays for you and to make that your priority. Scroll down to Your Coaching Moment to find the heart of your holiday.
All the best from your coach,

YOUR COACHING Moment |

The heart of your holiday!
Most
women I know don’t always stop to be crystal clear on what they want
out of their holiday – whether it be Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas,
Kwanzaa, New Year's or any other special occasion. Instead, they tend
to dive in head first and hit the ground running. There is a
lot of busyness, a lot of bustle & that wicked affliction of most
women – trying to do too much & not asking for enough help.
I have a gift to help ensure that you honor the holiday season in your own way - a lovely free coaching booster that helps you find the heart of your holiday and make it a priority. Just click here to go to our website. Waiting there is a free 5-minute coaching audio
& a nifty worksheet that will help you figure out what you need to
let go of, embrace and commit to in order to honor the heart of your holiday.
I’ve done this exercise with many women and I want to share a few real mom holiday intentions:
Lydia: Nothing is more important than time together this Christmas. I let go of too much elaborate food preparation. I embrace lower standards! I commit to doing a potluck for Christmas dinner! I am sending out emails & making phone calls by Dec 10tht stating that we will be doing a potluck for Christmas dinner.
Sara:
Nothing is more important than being together with family this Hanukkah –not fighting & really enjoying the holidays.
I let go of family turmoil, past issues & the baggage.
I embrace serenity, peace & acceptance.
I commit to asking for help.
I am asking
my mom this weekend for help throughout December with my little boy so
I can do what I need to do – clean house, go shopping, take a quiet
moment, to be able to be in that head space.
Amelia:
Nothing is more important than a fresh start this New Year's.
I let go of control.
I embrace partnership.
I commit to talking with my husband about what we both want for 2008.
I am going off with my husband New Year's day to have that conversation.
